About Us
Penrhyn International is one of the largest global partnerships of independent retained executive search firms. Established in 1979, Penrhyn has member firms in Europe, North and South America, India, Australia and Japan. Penrhyn International is a US$50 million global search firm with presence in 21 firms across four continents.
Supported by volunteer office holders and committee convenors, Penrhyn does not have overheads which impact on our costs and therefore our fees. This is a key differentiator between us and other multinational or international firms.
Our business model is deliberately different from both the multinational firms who are our competitors, and the local mass-market firms who would like to compete with us. Our business is owned by the Principals and no-one else. There is no international partnership structure that we have to remit money to (which would increase our costs). There is no public company structure which puts pressure on us to complete assignments too quickly (taking shortcuts which disadvantage both clients and candidates) or increase fees and earnings. There are no weekly, monthly or annual sales targets which our staff are under pressure to meet. We simply offer a highly professional personal service.
Penrhyn has a unique place in the executive search industry in that it is the only firm which can boast four winners of the Gardner Heidrick Award for outstanding contribution to the executive search profession: Leon Farley (US), Christopher Mill (England), Skott Burkland (US) and Anders Borg (Belgium).
Penrhyn International is a global member of the AESC, the International Association of Executive Search Consultants. All member firms adhere to the ethical standards and governing business principles of this industry association.
