Hayuru Tsutsumi began her career as a flight attendant of inaugural class for Japan route at British Caledonian Airways. After the merger with British Airways, she continued flying and was responsible for HR/service training for 8 years. She then joined Skymark to launch a new airline business where she was responsible for overall operations of the Flight Crew Department including development of business plan (submitted to the Ministry of Transportation), internal regulations, training programs, and hiring and training of personnel.
At Alc Education, Ms. Tsutsumi managed English language schools and launched a new business where she conducted sales/marketing of English education network materials for universities and successfully acquired a large market share in a short period of time.
She then joined Nihon L’Oreal and launched the cosmetic brand “L’Oreal Paris” in Japan. As the head of Sales/Marketing Department she oversaw store operations as well as recruiting/training of sales staff, HR management, organizational development and sales promotion for various distribution strategies, and demonstrated leadership and contributed greatly to the company’s achievements.
From 2007, she has been engaged in executive search consulting activities as the head of consumer products team at RECRUIT Executive Agent, where she conducted numerous executive search projects for management positions in cosmetics, toiletry, apparel, food, service industries for clients including domestic and international corporations and private equity funds.
She joined Shimamoto Partners in December 2010. She graduated from Kobe College and Institut de Touraine (Tours).
