Jan Geurts is Managing Partner of Maes & Lunau Executive Search, and a Principal of Penrhyn International. His areas of expertise include: Industrial, Transportation and Supply Chain.
In 1991, Jan Geurts joined the search firm Ward Howell/Maes & Lunau as consultant to become a partner in 1994. In 1999 this company was acquired by TMP. His specific experience includes senior management and board level assignments in many industry practices, including Automotive, Transport and Distribution, Industrial Services, Shipbuilding, Heavy Industry, Offshore, Automation and High Technology, Aerospace and Defence, and private companies and foundations. In addition, he is regularly involved in non-executive board member appointments.
Jan started his career as Commercial Manager with Paktank, division of Pakhoed Holding. From 1980, he worked for Royal Hoogovens (now Corus), a major Dutch steel company, as Project Manager on diversification strategy, business development, international joint ventures and acquisitions. In 1983, he became the Sales & Marketing director of DAF Special Products, a defence and aerospace company. From 1986 until 1991 he was Vice President international division for Volvo Cars in the Netherlands.
He is a graduate of the University of Brabant in International Economics, and also has a Master’s degree in Marketing from TIAS. Jan is fluent in English, French and German in addition to Dutch, and also conversant in Spanish and Swedish.
