Japan Headhunter Awards MVP (2010 – Industrial Sector) and Honorable Distinction awardee (2011 – Industrial Sector) Takashi Mochizuki has been a search professional since 1998. He conducts senior-level search assignments for Japanese and multinational industrial, automotive and consumer / retail clients.
Prior to joining Shimamoto Partners, Takashi headed the Industrial Practice at Heidrick & Struggles Japan. Previously he served as Managing Director (Industrial Practice) at Korn/Ferry International-Japan.
Earlier in his career he was Director of Kosai Kogei Co., Ltd., a JASDAQ listed jewellery manufacturer, where he oversaw its IPO, completed in 1995. He was also seconded to the company’s wholesale subsidiary as President for four years.
Takashi began his career at Toyota Motor Corporation, where for 10 years he was extensively engaged in overseas marketing of Toyota vehicles.
He graduated from the University of Tokyo (B.A., Economics) and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York.
Takashi is Committee Chair of Columbia Business School Club of Japan.
