After the Jacksonville, FL native earned an MBA from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, Gray Dunaway spent eight years in Banc of America Securities’ Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS) Group structuring and securitizing mortgages to the nation’s top real estate investment funds.
She has also served as business manager for a company that develops women leaders and transforms corporate cultures. At Flynn Heath Holt Leadership, Gray initiated and developed the business model for a $120,000 scholarship-based leadership program for female nonprofit executives.
During her mortgage banking days, Gray was repeatedly voted one of the top 4 percent of Charlotte-area mortgage lenders.
Gray and her husband, a Charlotte native whose family has lived in the city for generations, have two sons and a Cavalier King Charles spaniel.
The cum laude Tufts University graduate volunteers with Heart Math Tutoring and is on the steering committee for 2020 Women on Boards. At her church – Christ Episcopal – she created a multigenerational service project to aid sex trafficking victims. She and her husband have two sons.
