Andrew’s career has covered a number of industrial and service sectors, including CEO and non-executive director roles in ASX listed companies.

After graduating with a degree in Applied Science and a Master’s degree in economics from the University of Melbourne, he worked with General Motors in a variety of local and overseas positions before moving to PA Consulting as a strategy and performance consultant within the Capital Intensive division. His assignments covered a variety of large industrial companies in Australia and Asia and was followed by roles in McIntosh Securities (as Australia’s first Utilities Analyst) and Mercury Energy (NZ). He returned to Australia to lead the development of Yallourn Energy, where he built a class- leading capability in generator marketing. He then became Chief Executive Officer of the publicly listed Australian Energy / Power Direct. He joined Fish & Nankivell early in 2012.

Andrew is a non-executive Director of Energy One Limited (ASX:EOL), Australia’s premier software provider to the energy industry.

Ian has been a leading member of the executive search profession in Australia since 1984. He was a founder of Fish & Nankivell and became a Principal of Penrhyn International in 1985 and is past Chairman of Penrhyn. Ian is recognised for the many senior assignments he has conducted in the financial services sector, as well as his assignments for many leading Australian manufacturing, professional services, technology, resources, consumer products and retail companies. Through Boardroom Search, Ian has also conducted many searches for non-executive chairmen and directors. Ian has also conducted a large number of reviews of Boards, evaluating their effectiveness and performance.

Ian is a graduate in Economics of Monash University, and is a Foundation Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors

Ian worked for Alcoa of Australia as Manager, General Products Group; was employed by the Pratt Group as Chief Executive of companies acquired from Pacific Dunlop and James Hardie, and then moved into the Venture Capital Division of Pratt & Co Financial Services.

For over twenty years, Julia has been committed to delivering exceptional executive search and consultancy services. She is a graduate of the University of St Andrews, Scotland (MA Hons) and she began her recruitment career in a leading UK financial search and selection firm. She was appointed Director FSS Group in 1999 leading large multidisciplinary teams to deliver recruitment solutions to broad range of clients. In 2005 she was approached by the global search firm, Odgers Berndtson to join their not-for-profit practice as a Principal. Julia has continued her search career in Australia, joining Fish & Nankivell in 2013.

Kathy's career in executive search started in 2000, and she has been a Principal in Penrhyn International since joining Fish & Nankivell as a partner in Melbourne in early 2004. She specialises in searches for critical roles – mainly chief executive officer or equivalent – for not-for-profit organisations which recognise the need for excellence in management and superior financial outcomes. In many cases she is called upon to search out those hard-to-find people who have experience in both the commercial profit-driven world and the community sector.

In 2007 she opened an office of Fish & Nankivell in Canberra.

Kathy has a BA with Honors in English, a Diploma in Education, a Graduate Diploma in Information Studies, and an MBA from Melbourne Business School.

Prior to her career in search Kathy worked for seven years with the publisher Curriculum Corporation, a company whose board comprises the Chief Executives of the nine State, Territory and Commonwealth departments of education. She was originally a teacher. She has been on the board of the Victorian Institute of Sport for 10 years, and (until it merged with another provider) served previously on the board of Urban Communities Ltd, a public/private housing provider which emerged from the Becton/Victorian government joint venture at the Kensington public housing estate in inner Melbourne. In 2016 she joined the Nominations and Remuneration Committee of Netball Australia.

Kazushige Hata started his career in Corporate/Retail Sales and HR at Kokusai Securities (now Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities). He then became a corporate research analyst and worked for foreign securities firms including UBS Securities and conducted research and analysis focused on consumer electronics companies such as Sony and Panasonic.

After working as Senior Analyst for 8 years, Kazushige founded a management consulting firm to provide advice to unlisted companies in wide range of industries for management support (restructuring/growth strategy development), venture capital management (assumed responsibilities as an outside director of a venture company), and IPO (developed equity story and calculated valuation) as well as M&A advisory to listed companies for another 8 years.

In 2013, he entered the executive search business to provide diverse and thorough search-consulting services to Japanese and multinational companies utilizing his in-depth knowledge and network gained from his experiences. Kazushige received BS in Physics from Keio University and MBA from London Business School.

Muneyuki Takizawa started his career at Sanwa Bank (current Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ Bank), where he worked with numerous corporate clients to promote corporate/banking relations for over 30 years.  His motto at the Bank was “resolving clients’ management issues” and he thrived to contribute to the growth of the client companies by engaging in various actions and numerous discussions regardless of the size of transactions or companies.  Through his experience with over 2000 corporate clients, he has learned that the balance between 3 management resources, “man, material, money,” is the most important element for any corporation to become successful as an excellent company and he strongly believe it is essential to make continuous effort for business innovation.  

At TMC, Muneyuki had provided consulting service to develop capitalization strategy and banking connection focusing on succession of business.  During his tenure, he had encountered and witnessed many situations in which innovative leaders and highly motivated management executives were recruited management personnel from outside organizations to reform or turn around the companies.  His learning from such experiences led him to believe in the business of Shimamoto Partners and he joined the firm.

Yuhiko Yasunaga became a Principal in Penrhyn International in 2004 when he joined Shimamoto Partners, Penrhyn International’s member in Japan. Yuhiko’s practice includes both Japanese and international clients. Much of his search activity reflects his 21 year career in the financial services sector.

Yuhiko’s career with Sanwa Bank started in 1979, and he rose to become General Manager of the Sakaemachi Branch. During his time with Sanwa Yuhiko was seconded for a period to a senior position with East Japan Railway Company. After leaving Sanwa he had a short period as CFO of MOBIT, before joining Russell Reynold Associates as Executive Director. He moved to Shimamoto Partners as a Partner in 2004.

Yuhiko is a graduate of Keio University and also has a Master’s degree from the University of Cambridge. He speaks fluent English. He has been a board director of a media service company, and is currently non-executive auditor of Tokyo Shoji Company Limited.
